Ingredients

  • 700 g pears
  • 90 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 130 g plain flour
  • 60 g ground hazelnuts
  • 90 g butter
  • 70 g brown sugar

Method

    Heat the oven to 190°C and butter a baking dish.

    Toss the pears with the sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch, then spread them in the dish.

  3. Step 3

    Rub the butter into the flour, ground hazelnuts, and brown sugar until chunky crumbs form.

    Scatter the crumble over the pears.

    Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the top is golden and the pears are bubbling.
