  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 340 g sliced ham
  • 30 ml honey mustard
  • 35 g sliced pickles
  • 60 g Swiss cheese
  • 15 ml butter or olive oil

Method

  1. Step 1

    Lay out the 8 slices rye bread and spread each slice or half with 30 ml honey mustard.

  2. Step 2

    Warm 340 g sliced ham in a skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Pile the protein onto the bread and top it with 35 g sliced pickles and 60 g swiss cheese.

  4. Step 4

    Close the sandwiches and brush the outsides lightly with butter or olive oil.

  5. Step 5

    Place the sandwiches in a hot skillet or press and cook them for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden.

  6. Step 6

    Rest the sandwiches for 1 minute so the filling settles.

  7. Step 7

    Slice and serve them while the cheese is still melted.
