Ingredients

  • 4 croissants
  • 300 ml milk
  • 150 ml cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 60 g sugar
  • 100 g chocolate chunks

Method

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oven to 180°C and butter a baking dish.

  2. Step 2

    Tear the croissants into large pieces and arrange them in the dish with the chocolate chunks.

  3. Step 3

    Whisk the milk, cream, eggs, and sugar until smooth.

  4. Step 4

    Pour the custard over the croissants and press them down gently.

  5. Step 5

    Leave the dish for 10 minutes so the croissants soak up the custard.

  6. Step 6

    Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until puffed and golden.

  7. Step 7

    Serve warm.
